Residential – Cleaning / Maintenance
We offer three levels of pool service to best serve our customers’ needs. Please take the time to visit our Pool Maintenance section for a complete breakdown of these pool service levels. All services are performed every week (including holidays). We can make special accommodations when appropriate. The Howard’s Pool World residential department can service all types of in-ground pools, including fiberglass models, and all types of filtration systems and sanitizing systems to include salt systems.
Commercial Pool Maintenance and Cleaning
Our Commercial Team Provides Commercial Pool Service to Englewood, Port Charlotte, Punta Gorda, and North Port
State certified Commercial Pool Operators provide professional service based on your pool’s individual service agreement as determined by Florida health department requirements, bather load, equipment requirements, amount of water, season, etc. Service visits range from daily to once a week.

Stain Removal
Stains are a possibility in any pool. Most stains are caused by metals and minerals attaching to the surface of the pool. These can be introduced through a variety of ways including source water, run-off, sprinklers, and wind. Overtime these build up. Pure water evaporates and leaves the “junk” behind which forces us to add more water with more “junk”. Most of this junk is too small for the filtration system to capture and it accumulates until it drops out of solution and onto the pool surface causing a stain. We offer a variety of stain removal options from draining and acid washing the pool surface to chemical additives that pull the stain off the surface. We also offer simple preventative measures following a stain treatment and in our regular service plans as needed. We always offer free consultations and estimates. Equipment Repairs
Our full time mechanic has over 11 years experience in the industry. Steve’s vast knowledge of pool systems enables Howard’s Pool World to repair any equipment residential systems….from the most basic residential systems to very complex commercial systems. The Howard’s Pool World service van is fully and appropriately stocked which allows us, in the majority of cases, to diagnose and repair most issues in one visit. We are typically able to complete our pool service work orders within 24hrs!
Heat Pump and Solar Blanket Installations
Howard’s Pool World is proud to offer a variety of Electric Heat Pumps to our customers. We only install the very best equipment available. We carry multiple brands from the middle price range and up. Our owner will be happy to meet with you at your pool and determine what best suits your wants and needs. Solar Blankets help hold in your pool’s heat at night as well as retard evaporation saving you money. We can custom install a solar blanket for your pool and attach it to a blanket reel to make removal a breeze.
Clean-Ups
Sometimes, pool service and maintenance is neglected for any number of reasons…we have a solution for that type of situation. Clean-ups are for those neglected pools. Howard’s Pool World will provide an estimate on just what it will take to restore your pool and water to a safe, clean, and sparkling condition…the way it should be for your enjoyment. We can usually accomplish a clean-up in one week. In the worst of cases, a clean-up pool service may require an acid wash.
